The movie begins in Uttarakhand with a group of police officers chasing Rudra Nayak, a dangerous terrorist,branded as a Maoist.However the group manages to escape and secretly arrives in Kerala.The story now shifts to a scenic village in Kerala.Sreekuttan is a handicapped mechanic, who is immensely optimistic. Sreekuttan has a best friend in Bhavyan who is also a mechanic. Sreekuttan falls for Shruti and attempts to impress her.However he is shattered when she denies her feelings for him. One day, Sreekuttan and Bhavyan are called to fix a car. The duo play some tricks on the car owner Rajendran, who turns out to be the new police inspector in town. He tries to get back at Sreekuttan and Bhavyan, which results in Sreekuttan being unable to get money to the hospital in time and as a result his father dies. This leads to small tiff between Sreekuttan and the policeman, in which Sreekuttan is severely beaten up. Now, Sreekuttan vows vengeance on the cop and plans to plant a bomb in his jeep. For that, he goes to meet his old friend Unni .Unni is an active comrade who is jailed for some case related to bomb.
Though initially reluctant Unni later agrees to help them in manufacturing the bomb. He refuses to make it by himself since he had promised his mother that he will not make any bombs before being jailed. Sreekuttan asks him for a bomb of inferior power since he only wants to make the inspector undergo tremendous pain as he did but Bhavyan secretly asks Unni for a deadly bomb as he wants to see the inspector getting killed.Meanwhile, Rudra Nayak seeks refugee in the village.
One night while the duo enters Rajendran's house and implants the time bomb in his jeep Rajendran enters the jeep hastily . Sreekuttan manages to reset the time to 45 minutes. They follow the jeep but misses him on the way .Rajendran goes to Rudra Nayak's hideout from where he has escaped and seizes their weapons. On his way back he spots Bhavyan standing near his bike with a bottle of alcohol while Sreekuttan moves away to urinate. Rajendran who dislikes those who drink and drive takes him to the station in his jeep. With just a few more minutes for the bomb to explode,Bhavyan tries to escape by playing various tricks. The bomb gets temporarily deactivated when the tyre of the jeep gets jammed in a gutter in the road. Bhavyan is bailed out.Sreekuttan vows to thrash the inspector brutally and then make him apologize for his actions.
One night while Rajendran drives back home, he gets a warning from his superior that Rudra Nayak has threatened to kill him. He spots a sack under suspicious circumstances and ends up in a jungle after following weird sounds. Sreekuttan who was hiding in the jungle throws chilly powder on his face and then ties him up. He beats the inspector brutally and throws him into a well. Both him and Bhavyan then takes Rajendran to the hospital. Rajendran thanks them and apologizes for beating Sreekuttan. Thus Sreekuttan accomplishes his mission.Shruti meets him and apologizes for behaving rudely. She also thanks him for saving Rajendran who happens to be her father. She walks away indicating her feelings for him. Meanwhile, Rudra Nayak attacks the police station with his gang and takes back their weapons. He accidentally chooses the jeep with bomb while trying to escape. On their way the bomb is re-activated causing a sudden blast ending the chapters of Rudra Nayak and his group.
